Single Parent Dating - dangers for single Parents

Basically, there are two types of dating sites: free sites and paid sites. Not having to pay fees is an obvious advantage, especially when you are a single parent. But under their fee-free surface, these sites also have many drawbacks. On the flipside, there are definitely valid reasons to consider joining the paid sites: the paid sites are set up to give you a higher level of satisfaction. And they also offer a measure of safety for their members.

Not all dating sites are equal - so keep that one thing in mind. You get exactly what you do - or don't - pay for. With a free site, you may be putting yourself at risk, opening yourself up to possible danger.

Dating sites are in business to make money. If that is true, how do these supposedly free sites operate without charging their members? The free sites don't off much in the way of "bells and whistles". They don't exist. Free webcam chatting or video hosting capabilities just aren't offered on the free sites. But a bigger concern is customer service. If you need help fast you probably won't find anyone ready to answer your questions. In fact - you probably shouldn't waste your time looking for a customer support phone number; there won't be one.

Outside of having less features and virtually no customer service, you will see a flood of advertisements every time you log on. They will bombard you with banner pop-ups and pop-unders. Add more e-mail advertising filling up your mailbox - at least once a week. And perhaps worst of all, your personal info can be sold to a large advertising network.

Not convinced yet? Perhaps you still want to try a free dating site? But there are dangers for single parents.

So maybe you join a free dating site। And next thing you know, you find someone interesting. You start by e-mailing each other for a few weeks. Then you move on to phone conversations with this person. You've enjoyed his or her company virtually. But now you both say you're ready to try a face-to-face meet. And here's the problem: nobody had to pay anything to join the dating site. So this person could be virtually anyone. This person might have uploaded false images and a fake profile. He or she could have even created a fake personality to convince you to meet in person. Disappointingly, this happens quite frequently. The malicious party does not always plan to harm or otherwise hurt the person being deceived, but unfortunately, sometimes that is exactly what he or she plans.

Assume the worst happens: You meet up with someone from a free dating site, and you're robbed or somehow assaulted; what do you tell the police? How will the police track this person down? There's no credit card on record. In fact, there's no official payment information on file at all.

None of these drawbacks exist on a paid dating site. While there certainly will be a charge to use their site, in exchange, you'll be getting a better user experience. You won't waste time sifting through paid ads or junk e-mails.

Members will have more features on paid dating sites; you'll be able to perform detailed, elaborate searches. You will also find several additional forms of user communication outside of email, such as instant messaging or possibly webcam chatting.

Perhaps the best perk of a paid site is the subtlest one that is often undervalued. If you did eventually meet a person face to face, he or she won't be a complete stranger - his or her real personal information will be on file with the site.

If you want to meet quality single parents, then choose your dating service wisely
